Body-positive dietitian Marsha Hudnall, MS, RD, shares how she achieved her decades-long recovery from eating disorders, why she gravitated toward Health at Every Size and intuitive eating in her work, how she teaches clients to change their thoughts about their bodies, and lots more!

A registered dietitian nutritionist, Marsha has been a voice of reason for the last three decades in helping people move away from diets, using her personal and professional experience to give hope to women that overcoming eating and weight struggles is possible. 

She is a thought leader when it comes to managing eating, emotions, and weight. This is an area in which she is personally as well as professionally versed. She successfully overcame an eating disorder brought on by dieting and has maintained healthy eating and living habits for over 35 years now.

Since 1986, Marsha has been a part of Green Mountain at Fox Run, the Vermont women's retreat for healthy weight and well-being that pioneered the non-diet approach to health and healthy weights. An accomplished writer, she has produced a body of work that reflects her desire to help women move away from restrictive notions of food and health. She has written hundreds of articles for popular magazines, newsletters and professional journals, and has worked extensively on a national basis to produce curricula and pamphlets to educate the public about nutrition and about the impact of dieting on eating behaviors, including binge eating and emotional eating.

With nearly 10 years of experience, Aaron has worked with eating disorders in a variety of settings. A large part of his career was spent working at the Veterans Administration, where he started one of the first Binge Eating Disorder groups for Veterans. His main areas of focus are Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size® and in his work, Aaron helps individuals learn how to make peace with food and develop body-positive behaviors. Along with the work in his private practice, he also blogs and hosts a podcast, Dietitians Unplugged

Melissa A. Fabello is a body acceptance and eating disorder activist, scholar in the field of sexology, and Jurassic Park enthusiast based in Philadelphia, PA. Currently, Melissa works as a Managing Editor of Everyday Feminism, the largest independent feminist media website in the world, and is a doctoral candidate in Widener University’s Human Sexuality Studies program, where her research interest is in how the onset of an eating disorder affects psychosexual development.
