I've been wondering how many people in the general population support the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES), and so far I haven't found any scientific data that precisely ask this question. So I decided to take a little informal poll on Twitter. Only 12 people responded, and 83% of those respondents said they were interested in improving their relationship to food and their bodies, even if they don't lose weight!
Those are exciting results, although clearly my sample is both small and biased (my Twitter profile says I'm a HAES nutritionist, after all). But I'm curious if anyone has researched this scientifically and on a larger scale. Any researchers out there? And how about you guys reading this—how would you answer the question?
